Following APA initially being instructed to complete a defects diagnosis inspection, we were subsequently instructed as Contract Administrators to undertake the main and secondary flat roof and balcony overlay works to this five-storey residential block containing a total of 72 flats. The works involved the strip up and retaining of the existing promenade tiles serving both the main flat roofs and front and rear balconies, further core testing to confirm the integrity of the insulation and overlaying the existing single ply membrane with a cold-liquid-applied waterproofing system to provide a 20-year materials and workmanship warranty upon completion of the works. The retained promenade tiles were cleaned and re-laid on a new drainage membrane and pedestals, along with installation of new drainage stones to the perimeter.
